Travel Itinerary From Da Nang To DMZ By Car
Your DMZ from Da Nang by car adventure begins when our friendly driver picks you up from your hotel. Along the way, you’ll visit some of Vietnam’s most historic and scenic sites:
Hai Van Pass – This breathtaking 21-kilometer winding road along the mountainside between Hue and Da Nang offers spectacular views.
Horror Highway – Known as the street of horror, it marks the tragic events of May 1, 1972, a day remembered for its devastating impact on civilians and soldiers alike.
Long Hung Church – A testament to courage, this church withstood 81 days of heavy attack from American and South Vietnamese forces.

Doc Mieu Firebase – Located 8 km south of the Ben Hai River, this former American base was part of the McNamara Line and holds deep historical significance.

Hien Luong Bridge – Originally destroyed in 1967, this bridge once symbolized the physical and ideological divide of Vietnam.

Vinh Moc Tunnels – This impressive underground village was built on three levels and included schools, clinics, and maternity rooms, providing shelter for families during the war.

After visiting all these historic sites, our experienced and friendly driver on your Da Nang to DMZ by car trip will safely return you to your hotel in Da Nang.

Khe Sanh Combat Base (upon request +25 USD) – This large Marine base was famously attacked by a massive North Vietnamese Army force in early 1968. Dakrong Bridge is a key branch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, leading south to the A Shau Valley and the infamous “Hamburger Hill.” Rock Pile Hill, though inaccessible, is a striking sight from the highway and was used as a US military watchtower to observe the Vietnam People’s Army in Quang Tri Province between 1966 and 1968.

EXCELLENT Based on 2678 reviews Posted on Dave PVerified Day trip to The Imperial City of Hue We had a lovely day today with Justine (our guide) and the driver, for the trip from Chan May Port to Hue, and the Imperial City. They met us on time, where you said that they would be, the car was clean and the air conditioning worked. They gave us bottled water. Justine explained the day and we set off. Justine queued for the tickets where needed and gave us detailed information at all the sites, not hurrying us along. Justine took lots of pictures of us, and was able to answer questions. The restaurant was lovely, the food very good, and they were aware of our request that my wife is a vegetarian. They even stopped for us to get some toiletries on the way back and he assisted us across a very busy road to the shop. A really good day.Posted on Emil KVerified Can recommend - great experience! Fantastic transfer with Luyt from VM Travel - kind, knowledgable and experienced driver. Kim from the company helped us out a bunch as well - we even got to store our bags at the office while waiting for our train in Hue.Posted on Lisa AVerified Reliable, friendly, all round excellent. Alex was a great driver, lovely to be met by his smiling face at the train station. Sadly a violent tropical storm meant some changes to the plan but he worked hard to keep us dry and away from any hard sell where we stopped.Posted on Pablo MVerified Good experience Alex was super punctual and friendly, drives very quietly and very well, made extra stops to take some photos, highly recommendedPosted on Swati NVerified Exceptional Service – Highly Recommend! I had an excellent experience with VM Travel during my stay in Vietnam. I first contacted them through the chat option on their website and received a quick and helpful response. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how flexible and accommodating they were. My day trips were tailored entirely around my preferences. Both day tours were reasonably priced, and there were no issues with late drop-offs or pickups from my remote hotel location.A special mention to Mr Top, my driver for both days, who was friendly, professional, and reliable. The office staff, Jena, coordinating everything was equally outstanding — responsive, organised, and genuinely caring.Highly recommend their service for anyone looking for stress-free and pre-set or customised tours in Vietnam!Posted on Jason SVerified Day drive from Hue to My Son, via Hai Van Pass Very careful and excellent driver. Was helpful and attentive. Arrived early and helped with check out, waited while I went to My Son and explained things well.
