History of the name “Marble Mountains”
For a long time, according to legends and historical records, “Marble Mountains” was a sacred land with unique spiritual and cultural value. Legend has it that in the moment of birth of heaven and earth, when Da Nang was still wild, a dragon came from the East Sea and chose this land as a place to lay its eggs.
The difference is that this big dragon only lays one egg and then returns to the sea. The eggshell cracks into 5 pieces, becoming 5 mountains, so it is called Marble Mountains.

After that, at the beginning of the 19th century—in 1825—Minh Mang King came upon this attraction, and based on the structure and natural position of the mountain and the yin and yang theory of the five elements, he named the mountains one after another: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. The common name for these mountains is the “Mable Mountains“.
